A Friend is an individual the Referrer knows personally, who isn't already our customer and who is happy to receive the Referrer's Referral link.
To qualify for a Refer a Friend Amazon.co.uk Gift Card, as a Friend you must use the Referrer's unique Referral link when joining British Gas on a Qualifying Product via britishgas.co.uk. The gift card is subject to the Friend's Qualifying Product purchase and the Friend's contract or policy must be active at least 90 days after the supply start date or the policy start date. The gift card Reward may take up to three months to arrive from the Friend joining British Gas.
To qualify for a Reward for switching energy to British Gas, your Friend must not have held a British Gas energy contract within the last three months of joining. Based on a medium demand (2,700 kWh) property in London, with south-facing 10 panel 4kW arrays and a battery providing 35% of the home’s electricity needs. Excess energy is sold back to the grid at 15.1p per kWh using the British Gas ‘Export & Earn Plus’ SEG tariff. Saving includes ‘Hive Solar Saver’ discount of 25% on electricity unit rate in first year and savings will vary after that. Typical bill calculated using national average January-March 2025 price cap rates. Actual savings will depend on location, installation, aspect and electricity use.
