Get Set for Positive Energy

The dream team: British Gas, Team GB, ParalympicsGB and YOU!

We’re on a mission to support young people and their communities to get more active, build healthy habits, and create a greener future.

Get Set for Positive Energy is our partnership programme designed to inspire primary school children to use their positive energy to drive change toward sustainability, with plenty of Olympic-inspired fun along the way.

More than PE and sport

It’s all about achieving potential. Get Set for Positive Energy encourages young people in all aspects of life – not just through sport. From PSHE and leadership to the arts, there’s something here for everyone. The British Gas team has been jumping in too, volunteering in schools across the UK to help children make more sustainable choices.

When it comes to energy-saving tips the next generation has plenty to say. So, as part of the Get Set for Positive Energy scheme, we asked kids from across the UK to put their heads together to come up with the best ways to help us all save energy and do our bit for a greener, fairer future.

Design a Sustainable School Competition – the results are in

The challenge to design a sustainable school for the future was met with thousands of creative and futuristic designs and ideas, making choosing just five winning entries an almost impossible task.

The judges rose to the challenge to award a share of £25,000 worth of British Gas Positive Energy Grants to support the winning schools in creating a greener, more accessible school for everyone.

The excitement for our lucky winners continued when Team GB and ParalympicsGB athletes, Ashleigh Nelson and Thomas Young made special appearances to present the prizes to Sandwich Infant School.
