PeakSave for business is back

12 March 2025

From the UK Government to businesses, the conversation is increasingly focused on how to achieve net zero. While many businesses are eager for change, they often struggle to balance environmental goals with financial realities. Policy changes and industry reforms can create additional costs, making it challenging to stay competitive. That’s why we’re committed to energising a greener, fairer future - one where rising costs don’t overshadow the desire to clean up. We’re excited to reintroduce PeakSave for Business in 2025.

PeakSave for business is back

Last year, during the Olympics, we launched our first PeakSave for Business trial. From 11am to 4pm every Friday, eligible small and enterprise business energy customers accessed half-price electricity. This initiative aimed to help businesses save money by shifting energy use and smoothing energy demand across the UK.

Due to the trial’s success, we’re bringing PeakSave for Business back for six weeks. Eligible businesses can enjoy half-price electricity every Wednesday from 9am to 3pm, starting on 26 March and running until 30 April. This time, we’ve made two important changes to better meet our customers' needs.

  • Change of day
We’ve moved PeakSave for Business to Wednesdays for more convenient mid-week savings, ensuring they align with low demand on grid times.
  • Increased rewards
The maximum customers can earn per event, depending on consumption used, has increased to £100 per meter. *

These updates reflect our ongoing commitment to listen to businesses and improve our programs based on your feedback. We plan to introduce even more PeakSave for Business events in the future.

Save with PeakSave

With the top business priority for the next 12 months shifting to reducing costs1, eligible businesses can save on energy and use it more sustainably. You can save up to £100 per meter for each weekly PeakSave for Business event you participate in.

PeakSave for Business is currently available to invited customers only. If you’re eligible, you will receive an invite email. Business customers who are invited need to be on British Gas electricity supply and have a working smart meter that automatically submits reads every 30 minutes. PeakSave for Business isn’t currently available for all our business customers, but we’re working hard to ensure it can be rolled out in the near future.
